Wanda Ann Jones (Wilfong) 

Wanda Ann Wilfong Jones, age 80, of Bessemer City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

Born on September 15, 1945 in Gastonia, North Carolina, Wanda was the daughter of the late Sidney and Clarene Wilfong. Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Terry Jones, and her daughter, Leigh Ann Westmoreland Humphries.

Wanda is survived by her son-in-law, Jeff Humphries; grandchildren Tyler Humphries (Aubrey) of Stanley, Kylie Bess (Darien) of Cherryville, and Allyson Wilbanks (Kellen) of Bessemer City; and great-grandchildren Lincoln, Brax, Konley, Lucas, Scottie, Dash, and Annistyn. She is also survived by her longtime best friend, whom she lovingly referred to as her sister, Judy Korpal.

A graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School, Wanda went on to attend Queens College. She had a lifelong love of reading and cross-stitching and was known for her enthusiasm for collecting many treasured items.

Wanda will be remembered for her kind spirit, her devotion to family, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her.

The family will hold a private service to honor her life.
