Carl Frank Adams (Mr. Carl F. Adams)

Gastonia, North Carolina

Carl Frank Adams, 78, of Gastonia passed away May 25, 2022. He was born June 28, 1943 in Gaston County, NC, a son of the late Frank Lamond Adams and Clara Wright Adams.

Carl served in the United States Air Force and worked as a sales representative at Bosch Power Tools. He loved people and working as it allowed him to travel and to meet many people. Carl never met a stranger and became friends with all he met. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he enjoyed spending time with his family the most. Carl loved classic cars, fishing with his grandsons, and going on an annual beach trip to Oak Island. His home church was Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church. Carl loved music, especially Jimmy Buffett and his beloved black lab, Sadie.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dianna Moss Adams; children, Tiffany Adams Perry and husband, Stephen, Todd Daniel Adams and wife, Erin, and Curtis Lamond Adams; grandchildren, Joshua "PeeDab" Carper, Noah Carper and girlfriend, Lindsey Miller, Matthew Carper, Colby Adams, Ella-Grace Adams, and River Adams; Bonus grandchildren, Walker Perry and Blaise Shiver; mother-in-law, Louise Moss Teague; and numerous special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his special friend, Tommy Holland; and special cousin, Ronnie Wright.           

The family will receive friends at McLean Funeral Directors from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, May, 28, 2022.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors with Reverend Sally Queen officiating.  Entombment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park. The family will also receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at their home after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Myers Memorial United Methodist Church, 301 S New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
