Collier Benson "Benny" Starnes, Jr.

Benny was born March 5, 1945 in Charlotte, NC to the late Collier Benson Starnes, Sr. and Frances Louise Caldwell Starnes. He graduated from Camden Military Academy and began his work within the Caldwell family at Charlotte Aircraft. Benny’s career evolved into logistics sales and was recognized as a top performer in sales managing various accounts in the southeast region. Benny also founded and managed his own logistics company, Starnes Transportation.

Benny loved his dogs dearly and was known for cooking for them. He was also actively involved in giving to charities such as the Salvation Army and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Benny was adored by those who knew him. His personality was larger than life and his laugh was contagious.
