Join us for our 55th Frank L Ashley Class of 1963 Reunion.  We want to get together, have fun, eat and talk about the old days. 

Please talk to classmates that have been before and those that have never attended.  Get them to come.  We are getting older and have lost so many.  We would love to make this 55th reunion the largest ever.

Events Schedule:

Friday evening October 5, 2018 - 4:00 - 5:30 PM  Meet at Loray Mills for a tour of the mill and then either stay and eat at Growlers, or elsewhere.  Dinner is on your own. (300 S. Firestone St. Gastonia, NC)

Saturday evening - October 6, 2018  - 4:00 - 5:30 PM Cocktails at Gaston Pour House, 170 South Street in Gastonia.  It is two doors up from the Webb Kitchen. Drinks are on your own.  The Webb Kitchen is the old Webb Theater.  Webb Kitchen has offered free Valet parking to those that need it and has mentioned that if anyone would like to come in and look around, they are welcome. (This event originally scheduled at the Webb, but due to conflict, had to be moved up the street)

Main Event - Rankin Lake - Saturday afternoon and night, October 6, 2018. (1750 Rankin Lake Road, Gastonia, NC   28052)

We have rented the two shelters beside the lake from 3:00 PM until closing.  There are no official activities planned under the shelter, but they have been secured for any that would like to go early and enjoy the park.

Dinner: The Hall opens at 6:00 PM.  We plan to eat at 7:00 PM.  Dinner will be a Country Buffet affair...in otherwords, all you can eat!

Menu:

Fried Chicken, Baked Chicken, Country Style Steak, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Mac & Cheese, Slaw, Fried Squash, Sweet Potatoe Cassarole and Rolls.  There will be tea, coffee, soft drinks and water. (remember - no alcoholic beverages at Rankin Lake) Dessert will be banana pudding and peach cobbler.  No reason for anyone to go away hungry.

Costs to cover meal and expenses - $20.00 per person.

Catering provided by Catfish Cove in Belmont.  Many of you have eaten there on Sunday and can vouch for the food being delicious.

Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend.  We want to make this reunion the best we have ever had.  But, we need YOU to make that happen.
